Reporter Food: Lobster Ravioli at Wixom Station
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Jan. 18, 2019)
Wixom, MI – I didn’t know what to expect when I went to Wixom Station, only that it was “the place” to try in that part of the county, and that it had a train theme.  I love trains!  So I don’t know why it took me so long to get out here.
I was delighted to see a range of price points on the menu, and decided to aim high.  I went for lunch and had lobster for, I think,  the first time in my life.  Lobster ravioli to be precise.  Fresh homemade lobster ravioli topped with a rich and creamy sherry wine sauce, sun-dried tomatoes and crabmeat.  This came with a small salad and breadsticks.
I also had a hot coffee drink called Bananas Foster, made with Sugar Island Spiced Rum, banana liquer, and caramel coffee with whipped cream and dried banana chips.
It was a lovely lunch in a place that I would definitely try again.  Other interesting items include NY Steak sandwich, wood-grilled salmon salad, tilapia Diane, jumbo battered shrimp and a variety of Italian dishes and creative pizzas.
Wixom Station is located at 49115 Pontiac Trail in Downtown Wixom. Learn more at www.wixomstation.com.
