Reporter Food: Breakfast Tacos at Scramblers in Farmington Hills

Farmington Hills, Canton, Roseville, MI- Scramblers is an amazing place for breakfast/brunch, with such high quality food and family-style feel that it’s hard to believe they are a franchise.  In Metro Detroit there are three locations – Canton, Farmington Hills, and Roseville.
I headed to the Farmington Hills location because of a picture I’d seen online of the breakfast tacos.  In person they did not disappoint.   As the menu describes, this dish featured “three corn tortillas filled with our fresh cracked eggs, scrambled with chorizo sausage and black bean and corn salsa. Topped with a blend of Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses and green onion. Served with our homemade salsa, sour cream and your choice of a Scrambler Side.”
As far as breakfast potatoes go, I like the shredded style, fried until they are a mix of crispy and greasy.  And this place nailed em.  It was a perfect way to balance out the fresh healthy ingredients of the tacos. There are potato chunks and fresh fruit cups available as well.
I also had hot chocolate with whipped cream, which is not healthy at all but did warm me up on a chilly January morning.
Scramblers has all kinds of breakfast favorites, like hotcakes, waffles, french toast, omelets and scrambles. Plus there are trendy options, like a selection of avocado toasts, and a portabella burger.
