Reporter Food: Filet at Kruse and Muer
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Dec. 28, 2018)
Royal Oak, MI – A recent birthday dinner gave me a chance to try out Kruse and Muer restaurant at 28028 Woodward Ave in Royal Oak.  The restaurant is known for their fabulous seafood, in which both my friends indulged.
I opted for the 9 oz. center cut filet, which came with buttered mash, and Brussels Sprouts, bacon and sausage succotash. The steak was crisp on the outside and tender in the middle, with just the right amount of seasoning.  The succotash had a delicious mix of veggies.
One friend had Scallops while the other had Blackened Mahi. We also started off the meal with an appetizer of mushrooms stuffed with shrimp, crabmeat, and lobster sauce.  We were also treated to a freshly baked baguette.
Kruse and Muer on Woodward is part of a family of restaurants, including Deer Lake Inn that I wrote about earlier this year.  Learn more about Kruse and Muer at their website at www.kruseandmuerrestaurants.com.
