Oakland County Creates Interactive Holiday Light Map

Celebrate the season with a tour of holiday light displays in and around Oakland County! Show off 
your decorated property or visit one of the many holiday light displays using the 2nd annual Oakland County Holiday Lights Map. Use the map below to discover festive homes like My Light Show in Waterford, community displays such as the Big, Bright Light Show in Downtown Rochester, and popular attractions like Wild Lights at the Detroit Zoo.
Submit your display or find one to visit using the interactive Oakland County Holiday Lights Map. Residents, communities, and businesses in the area can submit their own properties and, once approved, they will show up on the map for others to visit in person.
Submit Your Holiday Lights Display
Enter your own property into the Oakland County Holiday Lights Map by following the instructions below:
Visit the Oakland County Holiday Lights Map webpage from your mobile device or desktop computer. Mac desktop users should use Safari or Firefox for optimal experience.
Press the “+ Submit Your Light Display” button on the top right corner of the webpage.
Upload a picture of your decorated property, the title of your holiday display, your address, and a description of what visitors should expect to see.
Press the “Accept Terms and Submit” button.
That’s it, you are done! Wait a few hours and check back to view your property on the Oakland County Holiday Lights Map.
Please note, all submissions will go through an approval process before showing up on the Oakland
County Holiday Lights Map. Submissions without a photo will not be accepted. Only submit photos of your own property and be aware that by uploading your submission, you are encouraging people to visit your property.

Season of Giving
Last year, Oakland County launched its first Holiday Lights Map to help people discover holiday light displays in and around the county. Each display received increased visitors compared to previous years. Most notably, some of these locations accepted donations for a variety of local charities and raised a total of $77,916.50, a 150% increase from 2016!
Our Dancing Lights, Auburn Hills
Our Dancing Lights is choreographed to dance to popular holiday music. This year, the display
added a “mega tree” that stands over 40 feet tall. Our Dancing Lights accepts donations for Rainbow Connection, a charity that fulfills dreams for Michigan children with life threatening medical conditions. Last year they raised $19,186.40 and were able to grant the wishes of two children!

My Light Show, Waterford Township
My Light Show is made up of 60,000 animated lights that are synchronized to holiday music. New
this year is Mr. Frost, a six-foot snowball that sings along with the music and gives it a 3D feel. My Light Show collects donations for the Michigan Humane Society. Last year, $12,341.66 was donated to help them contribute to their mission of rescuing and caring for tens of thousands of animals this year.

Lights on the Lake, Lake Orion
Lights on the Lake moves to the beat of holiday songs; new to this year’s line up is Let it Go and even includes scenes from the Disney movie Frozen. Lights on the Lake collects donations for The Daisy Project, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to obtain medical equipment and recreational items for special needs families. Last year they raised $1,437.17 for the Let Them Play playground and all inclusive baseball field.
