Tree Lighting Brings Pleasant Ridge Community Together
(Tom Treuter, Dec. 9, 2018)
Pleasant Ridge, MI – Drivers along Woodward Avenue may notice a giant tree aglow with holiday lights next to Pleasant Ridge City Hall.
Each year residents gather around for a night of merriment that peaks with the Mayor and Santa Claus leading the children in a countdown to flip the switch for the hundreds of little lights that make the tree bright.
Kids take turns sitting on Santa’s lap to pose for pictures. They also get to meet a reindeer, play with lighted wands, sing carols and sip hot cocoa.
