Holly, MI -Over 1,200 ladies lined up in Downtown Holly for the villages Ladies Night Out event. 800 gift bags were given out in the first 20 minutes, and stores along Saginaw Street and Battle Alley gave presents to the women who stopped in.
The “Buy Nearby Guy,” warm inside a giant mitten-shaped costume, gave out Michigan-themed presents as well.
Visitors came from as far away as Illinois and Ohio, and of course many from all over the tri-county area. “This is like our community’s open house,” said DDA Director Katy Hughes. “It’s a chance for people to see our historic downtown and get to know our businesses. So many people say they are going to come back and shop at this store or that store. We know once people see what we have to offer they want to be here.”
In addition to shops like Holly Antiques, and Blumz by JRDesigns, there were pop up vendors inside many of the stores and restaurants. The Holly Vault, a premiere event venue, was filled with tables of local artists and crafters.
