Holiday Shopping: Rust Belt Market
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Nov. 18, 2018)
Ferndale, MI – As the holiday shopping season begins, we’re giving readers a peek inside our retail advertisers’ stores for some great local shopping ideas!
Rust Belt Market is home to 50 artisan vendors in a beautifully-decorated, eclectic space.  Some of our interesting finds include an interactive desk made from a 1958 Chevy Apache made by Jerry Bee, a Barbie and the Rockets stage set at Blue Jay Way, and a newly released Dungeons and Dragons collection at The Loaded Die.
Other vendors pictured below include A Touch of BLU Designs (handmade dolls), Speedcult (metal decor), The Brown Dog Studio (art), Not Sorry Apparel, Outer Spaceways Apparel, Lady Lazarus (plants), Stay Pressed Records, Attack Hunger, Great Lakes State, Tooth & Nail, Ida Belle Soaps, Fly K-9 (toys, accessories and apparel), Make Do Studio, Orikami, and E-LO Ceramic Art.
If you go, be sure to take a peek in the big terrarium and try to find the poison dart frogs.
There’s also a chance to win $5,000 if you go on Small Business Saturday, which is Nov. 24.  Advantage Oakland is hosting the contest for people who shop at a locally owned retailer.  For more info CLICK HERE.
Rust Belt Market is located at 22801 Woodward Ave., Ferndale, MI 48220.  Find out more at http://www.rustbeltmarket.com.
