Police Seek Tips in Series of Shootings in Pontiac

Pontiac, MI – Several shootings took place in Pontiac on Monday night into Tuesday morning. Below are the incident reports:
INCIDENT:  15:09 hrs. – City of Pontiac – Shooting – #18-179932
SUMMARY:  Deputies responded to the 200 block of Seward Street on the report of a person who had been shot.  Upon their arrival, Deputies located the victim’s vehicle which had bullet holes on the front passenger side.  A female motorist arrived on the scene and informed Deputies that she had just dropped off a shooting victim at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital – Oakland. Deputies responded to the Emergency Room of St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital where they located the victim who was being treated for a single gunshot wound to his arm.  The victim stated that he had been seated in his vehicle when he was shot.  He could not provide a description of the shooter or a description of the shooter’s vehicle.  Several neighbors stated that they heard the gunshots and observed a silver Nissan sedan driving away.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  An area check was conducted for the suspect but with negative results. An Evidence Technician responded to the scene and collected shell casings found lying outside of the vehicle. The victim was treated and released from the hospital.  Detectives were notified and will be continuing with the investigation.
VICTIM INFORMATION:  24 year old male, resident of the City of Pontiac.
SUSPECT INFORMATION:  Unknown subject(s) who may have been driving a silver Nissan sedan.
INCIDENT:  18:02 hrs. – City of Pontiac – Shots Fired – #18-180062
SUMMARY:  Deputies responded to the 90 block of N. Anderson Street on the report of gunshots being heard. Upon their arrival, Deputies located the victim who stated that his house had just been shot at.  Deputies observed bullet holes in the front of the house along with shell casings lying in the street.  The victim stated that he had been home alone when he heard shooting coming from outside and observed a mid-2000’s Chevrolet Impala driving away.  The victim stated that he did not have any problems with anyone but that his great-nephew lived at the house and has sold drugs in the past.  The great-nephew could not be located for questioning.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  An area check was conducted for the suspect(s) but with negative results. An Evidence Technician responded to process the scene and collect the spent shell casings.  Detectives were notified and will be continuing with the investigation.
VICTIM INFORMATION:  53 year old male, resident of the City of Pontiac.
SUSPECT INFORMATION:  Unknown subject(s) who may have been driving a mid-2000’s Chevrolet Impala light in color.
INCIDENT:  19:07 hrs. – City of Pontiac – Shooting – #18-180109
SUMMARY:  Deputies responded to the 200 block of Alhambra Street on the report of a person who had been shot. Upon their arrival, Deputies located the victim lying on the living room floor of an apartment.  The victim stated that she had been seated in a parked vehicle with a friend when an unknown person drove by them and starting shooting at her vehicle.  A witness, whose daughter was friends with the victim, stated that she looked outside and observed a person holding a pistol out of the window of a silver Lincoln sedan with tinted windows.  The witness saw the shots being fired but could not see the shooter.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  An Evidence Technician responded to process the scene.  Witnesses were transported to the substation to speak with Detectives. Detectives were notified and responded to the station to begin their investigation. The victim was transported to McLaren-Oakland Hospital via Star EMS where she was treated and has since been released.  The incident remains under investigation.
ICTIM INFORMATION:  20 year old female, resident of the City of Pontiac.
SUSPECT INFORMATION:  Unknown subject(s) who may have been driving a silver Lincoln sedan.
INCIDENT:  19:19 hrs. – City of Pontiac – Shots Fired – #18-180114
SUMMARY:  Deputies were in the 300 block of E. Wilson Street for a report of gunshots.  Deputies began checking the area where the gunshot had come from and located a victim.  The victim stated that he had been sitting on his front porch when an unidentified subject riding inside of a Chevrolet Impala began shooting at his house.  Deputies located spent casings lying outside of the victim’s house. There were two small children inside of the residence at the time of the shooting but there were no reported injuries. The victim refused to cooperate with the investigation and declined to answer any further questions.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  An area check was conducted for the suspect(s) but with negative results. An Evidence Technician responded to process the scene and collect the shell casings.  Detectives were notified and will be continuing with the investigation.
VICTIM INFORMATION:  40 year old male, resident of the City of Pontiac.
VICTIM INFORMATION:  15 year old male, resident of the City of Pontiac.
VICTIM INFORMATION:  11 year old male, resident of the City of Pontiac.
SUSPECT INFORMATION:  Unknown subject(s) who may have been driving a mid-2000s Chevrolet Impala light in color.
INCIDENT:  02:39 hrs. – City of Pontiac – Shots Fired – #18-180261
SUMMARY:  Deputies responded to the 600 block of Mansfield Street on the report of a residence that had been struck by gun fire.  There were no reported injuries.  Upon their arrival, Deputies recovered shell casings in the street. Deputies interviewed the two victims who stated that they did not see anything, nor have they had any ongoing problems with anyone.  Deputies spoke with neighbors who indicated that they did not see the shooting but observed a Chevrolet Impala leaving the area.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  An Evidence Technician responded to the scene.  The Evidence technician documented and collected the spent shell casings found at the scene.  Detectives were notified and will be continuing with the investigation.
