Reporter Food: Smoked Salmon Scramble from Cafe Muse
(Crystal Proxmire, Sept. 16, 2018)
Royal Oak, MI- On the menu at Cafe Muse there is a quote by Virginia Woolf: “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”
The quaint and classy restaurant in Downtown Royal Oak seeks to make sure their customers enjoy their food. Breakfast includes sweet and savory options. On the sweet side one might indulge in Orange Rum Raisin Pancakes, Stuffed French Toast with Mascarpone and Five Spice Pear Nage, Ricotta and Lemon Pancakes or other options. Among the savory choices are Steak and Eggs, Ammoglio Sauce Scramble and Exotic Mushroom Scramble with Boursin Cheese and Truffle Oil.
My choice was the Smoked Salmon Scramble with Gruyere and Chives. It came with garlic sauteed fingerling potatoes and a slice of sourdough toast. All of it lived up to Cafe Muse’s reputation.
I also enjoyed a Bellini, which is a cocktail made of Prosecco sparkling wine and peach nectar. I was lucky enough to sit in the window, where I could watch the bustle of Downtown Royal Oak.
Cafe Muse also serves lunch and dinner, and I look forward to returning for some of their later in the day items.
Cafe Muse is located at 418 S Washington Ave in Downtown Royal Oak.  Learn more at http://www.cafemuseroyaloak.com/.
