WONder Woman Dinner to honor Cooper, Riley, Van Oeyen and Waterman Sept. 27
Troy, MI – The Women Officials Network Foundation will honor four extraordinary women at the WONder Woman Awards banquet September 27, 2018 at 5:30 PM at the San Marino Club in Troy, MI.  The award honors women who have improved the quality of life in Michigan through their civic, philanthropic and professional accomplishments.  This year marks the 34rd celebration of the WONder Woman Awards Banquet and many past honorees will attend.  The 2018 WONder Woman honorees are:
« Honorable Jessica Cooper, Oakland County Prosecutor
« Rochelle Riley, Author and Detroit Free Press Journalist
« Honorable Cynthia von Oeyen, President, Bloomfield Hills Schools Board of Education
« Honorable Dierdre Waterman, Mayor, City of Pontiac
Each WONder Woman honoree excels in the following areas:
Contributes to the community beyond that which is required in their employment;
Demonstrates character, commitment and leadership; and,
Assists women and girls in reaching full leadership potential through civic engagement, personal and professional contacts.
The Women Officials Network Foundation is a nonprofit nonpartisan organization.  The WON Foundation envisions more women in prominent leadership positions at all levels of government.  Funds raised from this event will –
Train women to speak and lead with passion and power.
Equip women to obtain positions in public policy leadership and to serve effectively in elected and appointed office.
Empower leaders of today and mentoring women leaders of tomorrow.
