Mysterious Package on Holly Police Dept. Door Found Not to be Explosive

Holly, MI- The Village of Holly Police found a suspicious package on their entrance door today, prompting a visit by the Michigan State Police to determine if the package was dangerous.  Investigation found that it was not.
The Village of Holly posted an update on Facebook explaining the incident to residents.

“Many of you may have noticed the news helicopter circling the Village. Before too many rumors get started,” the update said. “Around noon today a suspicious package was hung on the entrance door of the police department. As a precaution a MSP canine was called to the station and ultimately an Explosives Technician. After fully investigating the package it was determined that there were no explosives and no danger. The police department is continuing to investigate the incident. There is no threat to the police department or the community. Additional information will be released after the suspect has been fully identified.”
