Protest Planned in Pontiac Against Families Being Separated June 30
Pontiac, MI – In response to news of children being separated from their parents at the Mexican border there will be a protest held at the Pontiac Public Library June 30. The protest is scheduled to go from 10 am to 11:30 am and is organized by Mike McGuinness.
According to the event page, “We will be rallying in protest of the Trump administration’s family separation policy enforcement, ripping children from their families at the southern border and placing them in detention centers. We refuse to accept this horrific practice and must work to stop it! We will be rallying, speaking out, and generating visibility for the cause along Woodward Avenue. This is a coordinated effort with other cities across the nation that same day. Please share this Pontiac gathering with everyone throughout Oakland County and beyond.”
