Stars Shine in Pontiac with Student Performances and Ascend Scholarships

Pontiac, MI – Each year the Clarence E. Phillips Ascend Foundation hosts a Night of the Stars to celebrate the talent of Pontiac’s youth, including performances and scholarship awards presentation. Over $84,000 in scholarships were awarded to kids in the community.
Performances included Boggs African Drum and Dance Ensamble, ballet and tap by My Dance Studio and a hip hop performance by Sean Preston. The Detroit Youth choir sang gospel and God’s Work Through Mime mixed praise with performance. Quest All-Stars Dance and Cheer Team also showed off their moves.
