Watercrafts Collide During Game of Chicken, Injuring Man in Brandon Twp.

Brandon Twp, MI – INCIDENT: 17:54 hrs. May 27, 2018- Brandon Township – Boating Accident / OCSO Marine Unit Callout – #18-99092
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to Bald Eagle Lake for a report of two personal watercrafts operating in a reckless manner. The subjects were reportedly playing “chicken” and spraying each other with water kicked up by their personal watercrafts, when they collided at the south end of Bald Eagle Lake. The collision resulted in one of the operators receiving an injury to one of his legs which required medical attention..
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: The injured subject was transported by Paramedics from the Brandon Township Fire Department to Genesys Hospital for further treatment. Both suspects were cited for Reckless Operation, Operating without a Boaters Safety Certificate and Operating without a PFD.
SUSPECT #1 INFORMATION: (Injured) 27 year old male, resident of the City of Sterling Heights.
