Superhero Mom by Cara Dovre
Holly, MI – My mom, Cindy Alexander, is my superhero because she is my biggest supporter.
My mom put me into dance classes when I was just two years old. It became a huge part of my life. I met wonderful friends who I still keep in touch with today, I’ve learned some important life lesson, and became to love the fine arts. I owe it all to her.
She encouraged, pushed, and advised me to always do my best. Now she is doing the same thing for my own kids. She is the best mom in the world and now she’s best Omie as my daughter calls her. My mom is willing to take her day off of work and spend it with my kids, just so I can save a day on day care. She has the best relationship with my daughter Nora, age 4. Nora will always ask me “When is Omie coming back.”
She has the biggest heart and would take the clothes off her back, drop what she’s doing to help if you asked for it. She has taught me the “golden rule” to treat others as I would want to be treated.  I love my mom and the person she has helped me become.
