Red Devil Restaurant in Holly Vandalized
(Crystal A. Proxmire, April 30, 2018)
Holly, MI- Security footage from early Sunday morning showed only the splat of white as a gallon’s worth of paint struck the windows and the sign of Red Devil Restaurant in Downtown Holly after they were closed.
“I know they’ll turn up on some of the other cameras around,” said Red Devil General Manager John Iatonna of the unidentified culprit.
He and a friend power-washed the paint away Monday morning, though some surfaces may require further professional removal.  The restaurant had just recently had the windows installed to close in what was once a patio seating area. The renovation allows Iatonna to use the space for special events and to serve more people year-round.  Even with the change,  there are still several tables available for outdoor seating.
Iatonna said that the family-owned restaurant has been around for 45 years and he couldn’t think of anything like this happening before. No other area businesses seemed to have been damaged.
If anyone knows anything about the vandalism, they are asked to report it to Holly Police at (248) 634-8221.
