Happy’s Pizza, Boost, and Polished Nail Salon Damaged in Pontiac Fire

Pontiac, MI- INCIDENT:  03:04 hrs. April 28 – City of Pontiac – Commercial Structure Fire / Assist to the Fire Department – #18-78192
SUMMARY:  Deputies and the Waterford Regional Fire Department responded to the 300 block of W. Huron Street on the report of a commercial structure fire.  Upon arrival, Deputies observed a working fire inside a shopping plaza that was utilized by a Happy’s Pizza, Boost Mobile and the Polished Nail Salon.  The businesses were closed and unoccupied at the time of the fire.  The roadway was temporarily closed to traffic and a single family residence was evacuated as a precautionary measure.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  Firefighters from several municipalities assisted the Waterford Regional Fire Department with extinguishing the blaze.  There were no reports of injuries. All three businesses sustained heavy damage from the fire.  The cause of the fire has not been determined.
