Ferndale Schools Appoints Anna Ibrahim to Fill Board Vacancy

Ferndale, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak Township, MI – The Ferndale Schools Board of Education has appointed Mrs. Anna Ibrahim to fill the seat on the Board vacated by the recent resignation of Mr. Jordan Smellie.
Jackie Hart, President of the Ferndale Board of Education said, “On behalf of the Board of Education I would like to welcome our newest Trustee, Anna Ibrahim. Anna brings to the Board a wealth of knowledge as a retired high school teacher. Her experience, advocacy, and passion to improve public education will be an asset to Ferndale Public Schools. We all look forward to working with Anna and hearing her valuable input as we continue our strategic planning process. The Board would also like to thank every applicant for their willingness to serve our community. We are truly a fortunate district to have so many committed, passionate and knowledgeable volunteers, parents and neighbors.”

Ibrahim’s appointment to the Board will last through the next scheduled school election in November 2018.
