Man Live Streams Suicide Threats, Deputies Track Him Down
Orion Township, MI- INCIDENT: 06:21 hrs. – Orion Twp.- Suicidal Subject . – #18-63772
SUMMARY: The Village of Lake Orion Police Department requested the assistance of the Sheriff’s Office with a suicidal subject in the 200 block of West Flint St. They were responding to a report of a suicidal subject with a handgun who was streaming live on social media, indicating he was going to kill himself. Upon arrival the subject they were searching for was found to no longer reside at that residence. The investigation revealed the subject was now residing in the 100 block of Manitou Lane in Orion Township.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Deputies responded to the second address and were able to gain access to the apartment but did not locate the subject. Deputies were then directed to an address in the 1900 block of Sunfield Place where the subject was located. Upon making contact the subject indicated he was depressed because his roommate had recently moved out. When asked the subject admitted to the threats but the gun in question was an airsoft gun and not real. He was taken into protective custody and transported to Common Ground and committed for an evaluation.
