Public Invited to Participate in Skateboard Art Competition in Rochester 
ROCHESTER, MI.- Last call for artists to participate in Downtown Rochester’s Eighth Annual Skateboard Art Competition & Exhibition: Deck Art 2018. Artists are asked to provide their unique work on a blank skateboard deck. All ages are welcome to participate. Categories include Elementary School, Middle School, High School, College, and Adult. Winning pieces will be picked in each category by a panel of judges and prizes will be awarded. The deadline to register for Deck Art is April 13.
A total of 50 local merchants will participate in the event, transforming Deck Art 2018 into a downtown Rochester crawl. Completed artwork will be artfully displayed throughout participating restaurants and businesses for onlookers to enjoy. Participating Businesses include:

Deck Art 2018 is scheduled for May 10-11.  The Rochester Principal Shopping District (PSD) will host both the Thursday Night Kickoff on May 10, and Friday Night Crawl on May 11, both from 5:00 – 9:00 pm. The events will include unique artwork, entertainment, kid’s activities, and more.
All artists must register for Deck Art at South Street located at 410 Main Street. Registration forms can be found in-store, or online at downtownrochestermi.com. There is a registration Fee of $20.00 (plus tax) for one blank skateboard deck. The registration deadline is Friday, April 13.
