Dashing Terry G and the Magic at Southfield Ram’s Horn
(Sam Gurwin, March 20, 2018)
Southfield, MI – Dashing Terry G. knows there is more to getting kids excited about a night out with their parents than just a plate full of turkey and mashed potatoes, although the turkey and mashed potatoes at the Southfield Ram’s Horn are pretty impressive.
It is actually the magic though, that makes Thursday nights, well, magic.
From 6:30pm to 8pm each week at the 26200 12 Mile Road location, Terry Gibson is there to astonish and delight the diners.
A 15 year veteran of magic, Terry Gibson has performed in Canada and the United States, including onstage in Las Vegas.  Closer to home the dashing performers keeps his skills sharp and his passion in play helping local families smile though their meals.
With excitement filling the air, both fun prop tricks and cards are used to mesmerize the audience at each table. “I bring something for both kids and adults,” Gibson said as he paused to speak to this reporter.
Tom Thomas, Owner of several Ram’s Horn Restaurants in the Detroit-Metro Area, loves bringing the magical arts to his patrons. “Well we like to make this a fun place as well as an entertaining place. He (the Magician) goes around to every table and what he does is excite the kids; they enjoy him”
Thomas owns Rams Horns in Southfield, Roseville and Fraser.  In addition to the Thursday evening entertainment, he’s held fundraisers for various charities.  There are even nights where groups can come in and a percentage of sales gets donated back to the group.
Among the kids last week was a boy named Paul who nearly jumped out of his chair when his mom had several pink bunny rabbits appear in her hands right before his eyes!
“There is a wow factor, definitely!” says Thomas.
