Man Confesses to Killing Wife in Rochester Hills, Donations Accepted for Family
Rochester Hills, MI – A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money for the family of a Rochester Hills woman who was found fatally shot in her home on Emmons Avenue Monday morning.
The 41-year-old woman leaves behind two elementary school age children and an adult son.
Oakland County Police reported:
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to the 3400 block of Emmons Ave on a death investigation. The caller advised that he thinks his sister-in-law was dead. He stated she is laying on the couch and blood on the couch. The caller further advised his sister-in-law and her husband are currently going through a bad divorce. Deputies arrived on scene and observed a female shooting victim lying on the couch obviously deceased. Paramedics from Rochester Hills Fire Department were on the scene.  Paramedics provided telemetry to Ascension- Crittenton Hospital where a physician pronounced the subject deceased. Deputies secured the scene and canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses.
 OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Detectives were notified and arrived on scene to begin their investigation. The OCSO Forensic Science Laboratory was requested and responded to the scene.  While Detectives were at the scene the decedents husband (suspect) came to the Rochester Hills Substation and told the front desk Deputy that he just killed his wife. The subject was taken into custody without incident and interviewed by Detectives. The Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to assist with the investigation. The Medical Examiner’s Office assumed custody of the deceased. The decedent was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy is pending. The subject was lodged at the Oakland County Jail and the investigation continues.
 The suspect is the woman’s husband, a 39-year-old male.
