Armada Man Arrested at Beaumont, Accused of Smoking Crack in Hospital Bathroom

Troy, MI- William Beaumont Hospital – Troy, 44201 Dequindre Road, 1/7/2018, 8:45 PM: Security Officers responded to a patient’s room on request of his nurse who stated he was acting suspicious and possibly using narcotics. The security officers spoke with the patient, a 33 year old male from Armada, and searched him. Found in the patient’s right pants pocket was a crack pipe. The subject admitted to smoking crack inside the hospital bathroom. Later found was two crack cocaine rocks in a plastic bag in his right cargo pocket. The suspected crack cocaine was field tested with a narcotics test kit with the officers receiving a positive reaction for the presence of cocaine. The suspect was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia. 18-733
