Suspect Sought in Pontiac and Auburn Hills Robberies

Pontiac, Auburn Hills, MI – FROM DAY SHIFT: 12-24-2017, 07:00 hrs.

THROUGH MIDNIGHT SHIFT: 12-25-2017, 07:00 hrs.

INCIDENT: 17:30hrs. – City of Pontiac-Attempt Armed Robbery of a Business: #17-234777

SUMMARY: Deputies were dispatched to an address in the 200 block of South Telegraph (Thrifty Flowers) on an attempt armed robbery of a business. Upon arrival, Deputies located the victim who stated she opened the side door to the business, to take a cigarette break. As the she exited the store she observed a black male come around the corner of the building and produce a black handgun.  The victim screamed for her husband and ran back into the store.  She managed to get the door closed and locked before the suspect made entry, at which point she called 911.   

OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  Deputies checked the area for the suspect. A K-9 unit arrived on scene to assist. The K9 was able to establish a brief track, which lead northbound from the store before being lost near Voorheis. The description of the suspect is similar to that of the suspect that committed an armed robbery on the previous day at the Subway Sub Shop (incident #17-234374) and possibly 2 in Auburn Hills. Detectives were notified and the incident remains under investigation.

 

SUSPECT INFORMATION:  black heavy set male, approximately 30yrs. of age, wearing a blue hoodie, with a scarf covering his face.

VICTIM #1 INFORMATION: 31yr. old female resident of Clarkston.

VICTIM #2 INFORMATION: 39 yr. old male resident of Clarkston.
