It was hard to narrow down our annual gift idea guide to 15 items, so there are a few extra here. The Bedtime Shadow Book is one that I think kids would love. The Christmas one is pictured here, but there are others for year-round enjoyment including an under the sea theme, noises in the night that are not monsters, and fairy tales.
Beaded Raindrops is a simple concept for little kids. The small bits of plastic fall through a tube of swirls and platforms, with a soothing cascade that is like an hour glass but more 
interesting.
Hape’s Space City, which is a glow in the dark building set seems absolutely beautiful. While a series of “photicular” books gives the impression of animation with each exciting page.
For a practical gift, one might consider the the Veer Cruiser, which is a rugged convertible stroller/wagon that grows along with the little ones that get to ride in it through the years.
