Independence Twp Offering Babysitting Course for Ages 11-16

Clarkston, MI – Clarkston Community Education and Independence Township are offering a babysitting workshop for youth ages 11-16.

The purpose of this course to increase the availability of young, adolescent/teen baby-sitters who can provide safe and nurturing care for children. Basic child care, decision making, as well as CPR and First Aid are taught in the class. Students must attend both sessions and be at least 11 years old to receive their American Red Cross Babysitter certifications cards.

Materials are included in the class fee; a training book, emergency reference guide, and CD ROM to ensure success of their babysitting business.
