Independence Twp Robbed, Police Seek Tips

Independence Township, MI – INCIDENT: 1218 hrs. Independence Twp. Armed Robbery # 14-74818
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to the Comerica Bank located at 7565 Dixie Hwy for a report of an armed robbery. Bank tellers reported that a very short statured possible female walked up to the teller windows yelling for everyone to put their hands up. The suspect implied that they had a gun and told the tellers to fill it up producing a black bag. The suspect was able to walk away with unknown amount of cash.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Suspect was last seen heading southbound on Dixie Hwy. A perimeter was set up but Deputies were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. BOL was put out to surrounding departments with suspect/vehicle description.
SUSPECT INFORMATION: The suspect was wearing all black including gloves, and a full face ski mask. The suspect is very short statured possibly a female. The suspect left the scene in a dark blue SUV possibly a Saturn Vue with no license plate.
