For City Commissioner, the winners are Melanie Macey with 7,269 votes, Sharlan Douglas with 5,715 votes and Kim Gibbs with 5,684 votes.

Unsuccessful were Richard Karlowski with 5,194 votes and David Poulton with 5,094 votes.

There was also a partial term seat available. Randy LeVasseur took the seat with 50.08% (5,626) over Brandon Kolo at 49.72% (5,586).

Two Charter Amendments also passed as well as a bond for Royal Oak Schools.  The first Charter amendment corrects conflicting language in the charter over the start date for elected officials.  The second removes the requirement that any public improvement costing more than $1,000 be approved only after drawings, profiles and estimates are submitted to the commission.  The $1,000 limit was set in 1921.  The commission will now be able to vote on what the new limitation is.
