Pontiac, MI – The Unofficial results are in from Tuesday’s election in Pontiac. Mayor Deirdre Waterman retained her seat with 57.01% of the votes (3,526). Challenger Mark Holland got 37.19% (2,300).
In District 1, Patrice Waterman won with 51.36% (698) over challenger Chris Jackson who got 48.05% (653).
In District 2, Donald Woodward retained his seat, earning 51.94% (456) to challenger Coleman Yoakum’s 46.92% (412).
In District 3 Mary Pietila retained her seat with 70.21% (297) to challenger Nic Gryglewski’s 29.08% (123).
In District 4 Randy Carter retained his seat with 55.23% (322) over Sherman Williams II who got 44.77% (261).
In District 5 Gloria Miller got 67.02% (577) over challenger Joseph Sinclair who got 32.98% (284).
In District 6 Doris Taylor Burks won with 50.22% (344) to William Carrington’s 49.34% (338).
In District 7 Kermit Williams won with 73.49% (854) over challenger Troy F. Craft who got 25.82% (300).
The winning Library Board members are: Mattie McKinney Hatchett, Rosie Lance Richardson, Perry Earl Jr, Melanie Sharee Rutherford, Vernita Duvall, and Holbert Maxey.
