Hazel Park, MI – The Mobile Communication Support Unit (MCSU) is looking for volunteers to patrol the city, work city events and respond to other emergencies.
Additionally, the Auxiliary / Reserve Police Unit and the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) are looking for volunteers. Please reference below for more information:
Auxiliary / Reserve Police Unit:
This is a volunteer police unit whose members assist Hazel Park Police officers at special events, emergencies, disasters or other assignments as determined by the Chief of Police. This unit is established under the “Special Police Officers” provision of the Hazel Park City Charter and has been in continual existence since the 1960’s.

CERT: CERT or Community Emergency Response Team, under the direction of the Hazel Park Fire Department, is a program that trains citizens to assist in emergencies. Volunteers will receive training in first-aid, search and rescue, utility safety, and other emergency related topics.
