2017 Candidate Interview: Patrick Giesa for Northville City Council

(Crystal A. Proxmire, Oct. 16, 2017)

Northville, MI – Patrick Giesa is running unopposed in the Nov. 7, 2017 election to Northville City Council.  Incumbent Councilperson Sam Ekong and Mayor Ken Roth are also unopposed.  An election will still be held.

Giesa has 42 years experience in software and hardware sales and service. He served on the Board of the Northville Rotary for five years, including as President.  He’s also volunteered with Northville Youth Assistance and on two Bicycle Planning Councils.

“I like being around the people of Northville,” Giesa said.  “I have a lot of friends there. I’ve lived there for 19 years.  Northville has some unique problems, well not problems but things to work through.  One are their legacy costs. The other problems they have is with infrastructure, just the  maintenance and improvements of that. And they also have some pleasant problems of how to redevelop.  I’ve seen the Mayor’s plans. I think they’re good plans.  I think he’s going to need some help.  I know the council members.  They’re good organizationally. They have a ton of skills and background and I think with y skills and background in organizations I think I can help out.
