(Crystal A. Proxmire, Oct. 13, 2017)
Farmington Hills, MI – Mary Newlin is one of four people running for three seats on the Farmington Hills City Council. Also on the Nov. 7, 2017 ballot are Michael Bridges, Valerie Knol and Samantha Steckloff.
“I’m running because I’ve been a resident for 30 years and I’ve seen the same councilmembers on the council year after year, and I really want to make a point that I would like to run for city council for potential for change. Many of the Council members don’t really have a full grasp on the variety that’s in Farmington Hills and the various differences between the north end of Farmington and the south end of Farmington Hills because we haven’t had any city council members from that area of the city yet.”
