2017 Candidate Interview: Ryan Smith for Rochester Hills Council Dist. 4

Rochester Hills, MI – Ryan Smith is one of two people running for Rochester Hills City Council District 4.  He is on the ballot against Ryan J. Deel for a four year term

Smith has spent 15 years in private corporate security and has his education in criminal justice.  He volunteers with Rochester-Auburn Hills Community Coalition.

“I’ve known from a young age I want to give back,” Smith said.  “I’m passionate about everything I do.  Everybody says go in and give 110%. Well I go in and give 120% because I’m that much in love with the things I do in the city that I live in. I moved here just like everybody else to raise a family and I want to do just that. I’m a go-getter. I don’t settle for no.  No’s not a good answer. There’s always a better alternative and I want to be the voice of the people.  I want people to know when they ask me to do something its going to get done.  They don’t have to worry about ‘oh, he’s just another politician.  I’m not a politician.  I’m just a guy who wants to help out the city.”
