(Crystal A. Proxmire, Oct. 11, 2017)

Madison Heights, MI – Ronald Butcher is one of eight people running for three seats on Madison Heights City Council.  Also on the Nov. 7 ballot are Mark Bliss, Johnnette P. Eggert, Aaron Flanigan, Roslyn Grafstein, Mark L. Kimble, Emily Rohrbach and David M. Soltis.

Butcher has lived in Madison Heights for 17 years.  He has managed an indoor sports facility and currently is custodian with Madison Public Schools.  He’s involved in the Madison Heights Mens Club, the Crime Commission and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

“I want to take my service to the next level,” Butcher said.  “I’ve been pretty involved in the city and living in the city for 17 years.  I see a lot that’s going on.  I really want to make a change.  I want to improve what I see. There’s a ton of great things going on in the city and I want to be part f that. But I do see some areas I think maybe some people aren’t focusing in on, and I want to have an opportunity to get those issues looked at.”
