2017 Candidate Interview:
Kyle Bird for Clawson City Council
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Oct. 1, 2017)
Clawson, MI – Kyle Bird is one of five people running for two seats on the Clawson City Council in the Nov. 7, 2017 election. Also on the ballot are Matthew Ball, Jim Horto, Paula Millan and Susan Moffitt.
Bird is a business litigation attorney who also interned for three years in a public defender’s office. He moved to Clawson two years ago.
When asked why he is running for office, Bird said “To me I think Clawson’s a great city for starting a family. They have a ton of activities going on throughout the year. But I think more can be done. And as of right now they have a good Downtown Economic Development Program and I think that it’s just keeping the ball rolling with that. Years ago there wasn’t a lot of people downtown. But now there’s this huge, tons of crowds there, the restaurant and bar scene really growing, so just continuing that going forward.”
