2017 Candidate Interview: David Hamilton for Troy City Council
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Sept. 23, 2017)
Troy, MI – David Hamilton is one of seven people running for three seats on the Troy City Council. Also on the Nov. 7, 2017 ballot are Kumar Giri ,Mark Gunn, Ellen Hodorek, Paul McCown, Edward Pennington and Sunil Sivaraman.
Hamilton grew up in Troy and works as an engineer. He also is involved with the Troy Seniors.
When asked why people should vote for him, Hamilton said “I am someone who first-hand experienced how amazing the city is, and so I know how important it is to keep the city growing. As an engineer, engineering’s not just profession, it’s a philosophy. Fix something that’s broken. To build something new. You need to work together with everyone. You need to use science and technology. You need to speak with as many people as you can to help build. So I think I can bring that kind of engineering experience to the council.”
