Southfield, MI – Sara Habbo is one of eight people running for four seats on Southfield City Council. The top three vote getters will earn a four-year term, while the fourth highest will fill a two-year partial term seat. Habbo is joined on the Nov. 7, 2017 ballot by Lloyd C. Crews, Myron Frasier, Harold Hill, Coretta Houge, Nathaniel Lewis Jr, Michael Ari Mandelbaum and Linnie Taylor.
Habbo is a Legal Aid Attorney who also volunteers as a coach for girls’ soccer and a volunteer with the Fit Kids 360 program.
“I grew up in Southfield. I went to Vanderberg Elementary School, Thompson Middle School and Southfield Lathrup High School. So having grown up in Southfield and having had that experience of being part of this community, I wanted to really give back to my community. And I believe serving in this manner directly to the community is a good way to do that,” Habbo said.
