2017 Candidate Interview: Kim Gibbs for Royal Oak City Commission

(Crystal A. Proxmire, Sept. 13 2017)

Royal Oak, MI –  Kim Gibbs is one of five people running for three seats on the Royal Oak City Commission.  On the Nov. 7, 2017 ballot he will be on the ballot with incumbents Sharlan Douglas and David Poulton plus challengers Richard “Rick” Karlowski, and Melanie Macey.

Gibbs has lived in Royal Oak for 15 years and is a volunteer with the Orson Star Historical Guild.  She works as an attorney.

“I would like to bring some transparency to the city,” Gibbs said.  “We as residents don’t really have a good idea about what’s going on.  There’s quite a few closed door meetings.  Minutes are not provided on the website, and this is a concern.”  She also talked about the Civic Center development.
