2017 Candidate Interview: David Sloan for Huntington Woods Commissioner

(Crystal A. Proxmire, Aug. 26, 2017)

Huntington Woods, MI –  In the Huntington Woods City Commission race on Nov. 7, 2017, David Sloan is challenging incumbents Joe Rozell and Jules Olsman for two available seats.

Sloan is an attorney and former retail store owner with a BA from Michigan State and a Law degree from University of Detroit Mercy. He serves on the Huntington Woods Environmental Advisory Committee and the Oakland County Senior Advisory Council.

“I want to help the city continue to be one of the best cities to live in the area, with 21st century planning and inclusion of other voices,” Sloan said.  “I believe we need to have ore environmental planning in the city for flood prevention and for panning through the city, because in 2011, 2014, we had a flood and we need to be prepared and have procedures in place.
