Volunteers Needed to Help Plant Tress in Royal Oak Sept. 9

Time: 8:45 am to noon

Location:  Meet at SW corner of Meininger Park (Maxwell and Farnum)

ReLeaf Michigan, a non-profit tree organization is partnering with the DNR – Urban and Community Forestry Program and the City of Royal Oak to plant 18 trees on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Meininger and Fernwood Parks in Royal Oak.

Organizers are looking for volunteers to help plant.  Volunteers are asked to wear closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothing and bring a shovel and other appropriate tools if you have them. The group will meet at the Southwest corner of Meininger Park at 8:45 a.m. to sign in and enjoy light refreshments.  ReLeaf Michigan will demonstrate how to properly plant a tree at 9:00 a.m. The group will split up from there to do the rest of the planting plantings.
