(Crystal A. Proxmire, Aug. 23, 2017)
Pleasant Ridge, MI – Amanda Wahl is one of four candidates for two seats on the Pleasant Ridge City Commission. The election is Nov. 7, 2017. Also on the ballot are Sean Campbell, Alex Lenko and incumbent Bret Scott.
Wahl is a 16 year Pleasant Ridge Resident who has served on the Parks Commission and on the Pleasant Ridge Foundation, first as a Trustee then as Vice President. She works from home as a software salesperson.
When asked what skills she would bring to the Commission from her career, Wahl said “I’m a persuasive person, a good listener. You have to be where you’re in sales. And I think those skills will help me in collaborating with different people in the city and to help get things done. And to help keep the city going in a great direction which I think it’s going in. Community would be what my focus is… reaching out and making everybody feel a part [of the community].”
