16 Year Old in Custody Suspected of Mother’s Murder in Farmington Hills

On Monday, August 21, 2017, at approximately 6:40 AM, the Farmington Hills Police and Fire Departments
responded to a 911 call at a home on Howard road. The caller reported an unconscious woman who was
a victim of an accident. Life saving measures administered by police and paramedics on a 35 year old
woman were unsuccessful.

Farmington Hills Detectives discovered evidence indicating that the death was
not the result of an accident. The 16 year old son of the victim was taken into custody by Farmington Hills
Detectives and is currently detained at the Oakland County Children’s Village.
The investigation is being treated as a homicide and is an active ongoing investigation. We are unable to
release further details at this time without compromising the case.
