2017 Candidate Interview: Kelly Breen for Novi City Council

(Crystal A. Proxmire, Aug. 22, 2017)

Novi, MI – In the November 7, 2017 election Kelly Breen is one of seven candidates running for three positions on the Novi City Council.  Also on the ballot are Brian G. Burke, Cindy Gronachan, Gwen Markham, Andrew Ian Mutch, Sam Olsen and Bryan Valentine.

Breen is an attorney who has been living with her family in Novi since 2006.  She got involved in politics after joining forces with neighbors to stop a development project.

When asked why people should vote for her, Breen said “I’m new to the scene so I don’t have a lot of entrenched ideas or methods.  I am very open-minded.  I’m younger.  I’ve got a fresh face.  I’m also from the north end of Novi and not a lot of people from the north end of Novi are represented in local government.”  She also talked about her role as a mother of two small children.
