15 Year Old Accused of Stabbing Grandmother, Found Dead on Train Tracks in Holly

Report 1:
INCIDENT: 05:42 hrs. – Springfield Twp. – Homicide in the 17000 block of Sleepy Hollow
Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Operations Center received a call at 5:42 AM today reporting that a woman had been stabbed to death. The caller indicated that his son had left a note at his home saying he was going to kill his grandmother. The incident occurred between the hours of Midnight and 5:30 AM.
The victim was found with multiple stab wounds in the bedroom of her residence. The suspected murder weapon, a large kitchen knife, was recovered by Deputies at the scene. A state wide BOL has been issued. The Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (S.I.U.) is currently on scene and Fugitive Apprehension Team is also looking for the suspect. The OCSO Aviation unit is on scene and searching the surrounding area for the missing 2006 Pontiac G6.
Suspect- Steven Kelvin Wilkerson w/m 15 years old. 5-5” 160# brown hair, blue eyes. He fled scene in the victim’s car a Black 2006 Pontiac G6 MI license plate # BAM 0631.
Victim’s age was 65.
SIU and FAT are following leads at this time and the investigation on going.
Report 2:
The victim’s vehicle has been located in the Village of Holly.
Detectives have also located a body, believed to be the suspect, on the railroad tracks in the Village of Holly. It is obvious the body was struck by a passing train.
We are working with the Holly Police Department and CN Railroad Police and continue the investigation.
