Waterman and Holland Finalists in Pontiac Mayor Race, Other Results In

Pontiac, MI – Pontiac Mayor Deirdre Waterman got 36.71% of the vote in the Aug. 8 primary which included eight candidates for the race. She and Mark E. Holland, who got 15.16% of the vote, will face off in the Nov. 7 election.

Waterman earned 1843 votes. Holland earned 761.

The following candidates will not be advancing in the race:

Kone Bowman (480), Craig Jefferson (410), Al Patrick (648), Rosie Lance Richardson (226), Alexandria T. Riley (563), and Kerry Tolbert (77).

For District 1, incumbent Patrice Waterman got 508 votes (45.12%) and Chris Jackson got 303 votes (26.91%). Robert Bass, Janiece Gage, and Marc A. Seay will not be advancing.

For District 4 incumbent Randy Carter got 245 votes (55.68%) and Sherman Williams II got 111 (25.23%). Ashleigh Altemann will not be advancing.

For District 5 Gloria Miller got 397 votes (55.92%) and Joseph C. Sinclair got 158 votes (22.25%). Linda Kay Hasson will not be advancing. The winners will be determined at the Nov. 7 election.
