Pontiac, MI – Pontiac is the only city in Oakland County with a primary this year, which is Aug. 8.
There are eight candidates running for Mayor. There are also primaries for Districts 1, 4, and 5. In each race the top two vote-getters will move on to the Nov. 7 election.
For the Mayor’s race incumbent Deirdre Waterman is facing Kone Bowman, Mark E. Holland, Craig Jefferson, AJ Patrick, Rosie Lance Richardson, Alexandria T. Riley, and Kerry Tolbert.
In District 1 candidates are Robert L. Bass, Janiece Gage, Chris Jackson, Marc A. Seay and incumbent Patrice Waterman.
In District 4 incumbent Randy Carter faces Ashleigh Altermann and Sherman Williams II.
And in District 5 candidates are Linda Kay Hasson, Gloria Miller and Joseph C. Sinclair.
