2017 Candidate Interview: Rosie Lance Richardson for Pontiac Mayor

Pontiac, MI – Rosie Lance Richardson is one of eight candidates in the primary for Pontiac Mayor, which takes place Aug. 8.  She’ll be on the ballot with Kone Bowman, Mark E. Holland, Craig Jefferson, AJ Patrick, Alexandria T. Riley, Kerry Tolbert and Incumbent Mayor Deirdre Waterman.  The top two vote-getters will move on the to Nov. 7 election.

Richardson has worked as a principal and a teacher, and is currently Chair of the Pontiac Library Board.

“We need change in Pontiac,” Richardson said.  “And we can change the future of Pontiac by looking at a lot of things that have been done, I would say, incorrectly, that could be done better to serve all the people of Pontiac.” She explained that her four main concerns are the youth millage, senior millage, SMART transportation and putting the Phoenix Center to use.
