EVENT: Ferndale Library Hosts “Storytime In The Park” on August 9
FERNDALE MI – The second week in August is National “Exercise With Your Child” Week, and the Ferndale Library is joining with Ferndale’s Parks & Recreation Services to host a special story and play time at Garbutt Park on Wed., Aug 9 at 10:30am.
Ferndale’s Youth Services Librarians invite regular and new attendees of their weekly “Tree Sprouts” Storytime to exercise their minds with books in the fresh air and wide-open space of Garbutt Park.
The Ferndale Library hosts this storytime for ages 18 months and up on every Wednesday, at 10:30am, but this special “Storytime in the Park” feature stories, songs and activities that lead right into “Come Out And Play,” where Ferndale’s Parks & Rec will give children a chance to play, dance, and shake with various hoola hoops. Hula Hoops aren’t just a toy! Kids can have fun and get in shape with different techniques, instructed by Ferndale’s own LaReina Wheeler & Marne McGrath.
All ages and levels are welcome. All activities are FREE and open to all ages!
