2017 Candidate Interview:  Andrew Cissell for Oak Park City Council

Oak Park, MI  – Andrew Cissell is one of three candidates for Oak Park City Council for two seats in the Nov. 7, 2017 election. Cissell is also on the ballot with Regina Weiss and incumbent Carolyn Burns.

Cissell has run for office before as well as led local marijuana ordinance petition drives in Oak Park and other cities in the area.  One petition drive led to a conviction of making a false statement on an initiative petition.  And he is currently on probation for illegal sale of medical marijuana.

In his interview Cissell said that the three pillars of his campaign are the economy, education and the environment, including an idea to maximize solar power usage by the city.  He also talked about being progressive on issues such as marijuana legalization
