(Ferndale Community Concert Band, June 28, 2017)
Ferndale, MI – The Ferndale Community Concert Band and surrounding area have been asked to become host to members of the Belgium, Maasmechelen Community Concert Band. There are 70 members that need housing arriving at 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 14th and departing August 17th, Thursday morning. This is the week of Dream Cruise.
They are looking for housing for singles, couples and up to 3 family members. Their ages vary from teens to adults. The guests do speak English, some better than others. You are asked to pick them up at their arrival site. The site will be nearby but has not yet been chosen. On Tuesday, the musicians will have rehearsal for their concert beginning at 5:30 p.m. and perform at 7:30 p.m. (Venue to be determined) They have a free day on Wednesday and would love to be shown around the area. They need to be returned on Thursday morning about 4:30 a.m. to where they were picked up so they can get on their charters to get to the airport for a very early flight to New York.
Host families are asked to be able to fulfill the transportation requirements and can provide meals and fun activities for the guests. The day of their departure please send your guests off with a bag lunch for their trip to their next destination.
If you are interested please contact Sharon Chess firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
